To be honest; choosing a category under which to publish this story made me wonder; as much as this is a science story it also interferes with art, with the way it is perceived. In the end I chose "mash" since this post is also about a short film "Cyborg Foundation" by Rafael Duran Torrent, that was awarded the grand prize at the Focus Forward Short Filmmaker Competition at the Sundance Film Festival. The title sounded interesting, and the content even more so.
Trailer introduces us to Neil Harbisson, cyborg activist and a co-founder of Cyborg Foundation based in Barcelona. It's a nonprofit organization, with a mission to help humans become cyborgs and promote the use of cybernetics. "Cyborg Foundation" movie explains Harbissons cybernetic extension and at one point you have to stop and wonder if it is even possible to create, make, use something as mesmerizing as this. It's fascinating; seeing how colors become sound; how they interact, how they create the experience of the art interpretation along with everyday things many take for granted. It makes you wonder how far can the science take us.... where's the limit?
